The Bottle & Cat's Whiskers was the bar at 35/1 Pai Walking Street. In October 2026 the same address reopened as Vermut Café Wine & Cocktail — same two floors over the market, same counter staff (Sammy is still there), new name and a new list: around 60 wines all by the glass, around 50 house-made cocktails, open every day 17:00 to midnight. If a map still shows the old name, it is pointing at the right door.
What happened to The Bottle & Cat's Whiskers
The building in the central stretch of the walking street did not close — it changed name. Since October 2026 it trades as Vermut Café Wine & Cocktail. The counter staff carried over, the street tables, the upstairs room and the balcony over the market are the same, and the house rule that lets you bring food in from the stalls stayed. What is new is the name and the drinks list.
Google Maps and older blog posts may still show The Bottle & Cat's Whiskers at this address. That is the same place; walk in.
What you will find there now
Around 60 wines, every one of them poured by the glass to a marked 120 ml line at your table, plus bottles. Around 50 cocktails made from scratch — fresh juice and house syrups made daily, every pour measured — from ฿150. Thai and imported beer, vermouth on ice, mocktails and coffee for anyone not drinking. Small plates to share.

Hours and how to find it
Open every day with no day off: 17:00 to midnight, last orders 23:30, walk-in only. The address is 35/1 Chaisongkham Road — the street that becomes the walking street every evening — in the middle of the market, two minutes on foot from the bus station. The lit red V sign over the door is the landmark.
