Pai is a small town, so food delivery is patchy. What works tonight: Vermut Café on Walking Street delivers small plates (cheese, cold cuts, grilled sausage, hot plates), coffee, tea, mocktails and fresh juice free within 5 km of town, every evening 17:00–00:00 — message WhatsApp +66 99 926 5639 with your order and your stay. Delivery apps reach some addresses and not others; check the app from your room. Wine, beer and cocktails cannot be ordered online or delivered under Thai law — for a glass, the walk to the bar is three minutes from The Arch Casa. And if what you want is the walking-street food, buy it yourself and ask your host to collect, or carry it into Vermut Café where plates are provided.
Who delivers in Pai right now
Vermut Café (35/1 Pai Walking Street) delivers food and non-alcoholic drinks free within 5 km of the café every evening from 17:00 to midnight, last orders 23:30: small plates to share — cheese plate, cold cuts, grilled sausages, olives, nuts and the hot plates on the menu — plus coffee, tea, mocktails, fresh juice and soft drinks. Order by WhatsApp +66 99 926 5639 with the items from vermut.cafe/menu, your stay and room or house number; pay the rider on delivery, cash or transfer. Five kilometres covers the town centre, the rice-field side south of the river and most of the stays on this site.
Delivery apps exist in Pai but coverage is uneven and changes — some addresses on the edge of town are outside every zone. Open the app from where you are staying before you count on it, and expect fewer restaurants than Chiang Mai.
What cannot be delivered: alcohol
Thai law does not allow alcohol to be sold or ordered through electronic channels — chat, apps, websites — or advertised for delivery, so no legitimate bar or shop in Pai will send wine or beer to your room on request through a message. Vermut Café says so plainly on its own delivery page. For a glass of wine with dinner, the honest answer is the three-minute walk from The Arch Casa to the bar, where around 60 wines are poured by the glass; if you are staying at one of the stays on this site, ask reception and they will arrange things in person.
The better alternative most nights: bring the market to a table
Pai Walking Street is where the town eats — 40–80 baht a plate, every evening from about 6 pm — and it has almost nowhere to sit. Vermut Café, in the middle of the market, lets you carry stall food in and eat it at a table with plates, cutlery and water provided (one drink per person, and a mocktail or juice counts). If you are not up for the walk, buy from the stalls and ask your host whether they can collect for you.
Eating in at the villas
Eden Villa has a full kitchen with gas stove and oven; 365 Vila Connect has a private BBQ and firepit garden and a local restaurant next door. Both are whole houses booked direct with the owners on WhatsApp +66 99 926 5639 — the easiest base in Pai for a night in, with a supermarket bottle from Tops Daily and a delivery of small plates from the bar.
